The SIM Dispatcher platform has three independent language settings, each controlling a different part of the user experience:
Component | Where it runs | What it controls | Languages |
Portal | Portal UI language | English, German
Sessions | Session UI language | English, German
Simulation content | Simulation setup screen | Simulated caller dialogs, radio texts, and other in-simulation content | English, German, and additional languages |
Each of these settings is independent. For example, you can run the Dashboard in English while the simulation generates content in a different language.
Portal Language (www.sim-dispatcher.com)
The main website (portal) at www.sim-dispatcher.com supports English and German.
Changing the language via the footer
Scroll to the bottom of any Dashboard page.
Click the language selector in the footer.
Choose your preferred language.
The page reloads and all Dashboard text switches to the selected language immediately.
Changing the language via the URL
You can also switch languages by navigating directly to a language-prefixed URL:
Language | URL prefix | Example |
English |
| |
German |
|
Bookmarking a language-prefixed URL is useful if you always want to open the Dashboard in a specific language without changing the footer setting each time.
Session UI Language (platform.sim-dispatcher.com)
The sessions at platform.sim-dispatcher.com automatically uses the language reported by your browser or client.
No manual setting is required.
If your browser is set to German, the portal displays in German.
If your browser is set to English (or any other language), the portal falls back to English.
To change this language, update your browser's preferred language setting:
Chrome: Settings → Languages → Move your preferred language to the top.
Firefox: Settings → General → Language → Choose your preferred language.
Edge: Settings → Languages → Move your preferred language to the top.
After changing the browser language, reload the portal page.
Simulation Content Language
The Simulation content language controls what language is used for in-simulation content such as:
Simulated caller dialogs
Radio texts and communications
Mission narrative content
This setting is independent of both the main website language and the sessions UI language. You can run the Dashboard in English while the simulation generates content in any of the supported simulation languages.
Supported languages
The simulation content language supports more options than the main website UI, including additional languages beyond English and German. The exact list of available languages is shown in the language dropdown on the simulation setup screen.
Setting the simulation content language
The language can only be configured before a simulation starts, in the simulation setup screen.
Open the simulation setup screen in the session (on platform.sim-dispatcher or via the provided client). The language dropdown is located near the date/time, timezone, mission load, and other simulation options.
Select your preferred language from the dropdown.
Complete the remaining setup options and start the simulation.
Changing the language of a running simulation
The simulation content language cannot be changed while a simulation is running. To change it:
Click the red STOP button to stop the current simulation.
The simulation setup screen reappears automatically.
Select the new language from the language dropdown.
Adjust any other options as needed and restart the simulation.
Note: Stopping the simulation will end all active simulated missions. Make sure you have saved or noted any relevant state before stopping.
