The status overview shows the current state of all resources in real time and serves as the primary basis for dispatching and decision-making processes.
The display is deliberately compact and combines numeric statuses, colors, symbols, and time information to provide a fast overview even with a high density of resources.
Structure of the status overview
Page tabs
The top level consists of pages displayed as tabs. Each page represents its own view of the resources. Pages are used to logically structure resources, for example by organization, location, or functional context.
A page can optionally include a description that is shown above the display and provides additional notes on usage or meaning.
Groups
Within a page, resources are organized into groups. Groups represent organizational or functional units, such as stations, vehicle types, or resource categories.
Groups are shown as separate blocks and have a header. Groups can also be accessed via direct links. Clicking a group name automatically scrolls to that group and briefly highlights it visually.
Resources
Each resource is shown on its own row. For each resource, the following information is visible:
Name or call sign
Resource category
Current status as a number
Temporary symbols for transitional states
Time since the last status change
All displays are updated automatically and are based on server time.
Persistent statuses
The persistent status describes the fundamental state of a resource. It forms the basis for dispatching and remains in effect until it is actively changed.
It is displayed as a status number. The color display is fully user-configurable and can be defined individually in the user settings. Colors are purely visual aids and have no fixed predefined meaning.
Overview of persistent statuses
Status number | Meaning |
0 | Urgent request to speak |
1 | Available, en route |
2 | Available at station / department |
3 | En route to incident |
4 | On scene |
5 | Request to speak (with dispatch center) |
6 | Not available / off-duty |
7 | Driving to destination (patient transport) |
8 | Arrived at destination |
9 | Custom status |
Behavior on status changes
When a new status is set, it completely replaces the previous persistent status. There are no parallel persistent statuses.
Certain status transitions can be time-limited. After a defined time expires, the status is automatically removed or changed to a follow-up status, depending on the configuration.
Time since status change
For each resource, the time since the last status change can be displayed. The value is shown in relative terms, such as minutes or hours, and is continuously updated. The time base is exclusively server time.
Non-persistent status symbols
In addition to the persistent status, temporary states are shown using symbols. These non-persistent statuses supplement the display and represent transitions or special situations.
Overview of symbols
Meaning | Representation |
Status currently not allowed | Information symbol |
Request to speak pending | Message symbol |
Urgent request to speak pending | Highlighted message symbol |
Active request to speak | Confirmation symbol |
Resource dispatched | Alarm or warning symbol |
Dispatch canceled | Cancel symbol |
These symbols appear only while the respective state is active and are removed automatically when it ends or when a new persistent status is set.
Reservations and preselection
Resources can be reserved or preselected for an incident. Reserved resources are clearly marked in the status overview. The marking is shown as yellow diagonal lines in the background of the resource row, displayed in a cascading pattern.
A reservation can be made directly from the status overview. Double-clicking a resource reserves or preselects it for the currently selected incident.
The reservation remains in place until it is actively cleared or the associated incident ends.
Display of relevant resources
Whether a resource is considered relevant is automatically derived from its current status and any temporary states. Status pages can be configured to show only relevant resources. Resources that are classified as not relevant based on their status are automatically hidden on those pages.
Context menu and manual status setting
Right-clicking a resource in the status overview opens the context menu. A status can be set manually through this menu. Selecting a new status immediately changes the status and replaces the previous persistent status.
Status history
In addition to the status pages, a separate tab is available for the status history.
The status history records and displays status changes chronologically. It enables traceability of processes and supports later analysis of incident progress.
