Note on the installation path: The default installation path suggested by the installer should not be changed. If a different installation path is selected, the executing user must have permanent read and write permissions for that directory. Otherwise, installation and update processes for the client applications cannot be carried out correctly.

Installation on Windows

  • Download the installer file appropriate for your system architecture.

  • Start the EXE file by double-clicking it.

  • Follow the instructions of the installation wizard.

  • Leave the suggested installation path unchanged unless there is a compelling reason to modify it.

  • Complete the installation.

After installation is complete, the XENBIT Launcher can be started immediately and is available for downloading and managing client applications.

Installation on macOS

  • Download the DMG file appropriate for your system architecture.

  • Open the DMG file by double-clicking it.

  • Drag the XENBIT Launcher application into the Applications folder.

  • Wait until the copy process is complete.

  • Eject the mounted DMG image and remove it.

The XENBIT Launcher can then be started from the Applications folder and is ready for downloading and managing client applications.
